In the months leading up to your big day, It’s more important than ever to take great care of your skin and hair. A healthy diet and drinking plenty of water alongside a good skincare routine will give you that extra glow from within.

Skin Care

To create the perfect base for your makeup it is important to have a good routine of skincare. Cleansing, toning and moisturising with the occasional exfoliation treatment is the best way to ensure your skin is in top condition. Not forgetting eyes and lips.

Regular facials or home face masks are also a great way to keep your skin hydrated and glowing. Avoid using any new products leading up to your big day.

Daily use of a good SPF will help to protect your skin against everyday damage.


Any colour changes should be considered at least 6 months before your big day. This way there is time for any tweaks along the way. Stick to Your regular trims but please avoid any changes after your trial has taken place.

Aim for your final colour around 10-14 days before. Your hair will have time to settle but still feel really fresh. I recommend introducing regular conditioning treatments to your routine’

Hair and Makeup

Have pictures ready with different styles and looks for hair and makeup. Also consider any accessories or veil you would like to wear. I would advise to choose a hair style that you love first and then look for accessories to suit.

It’s also a good idea to schedule your trial run in natural daylight especially for your makeup. Trial runs are best to take place around two to three months beforehand if possible.
